APPROVALS, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES
VDE (German Association for Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology)
The VDE test markings document the positive testing and certification of products according to relevant standards and recognized rules of technology by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute. The granting of approval to use the corresponding VDE marking includes regular factory inspections and product monitoring to ensure that the products are of a consistent quality.
The VDE cable mark is used for cables and wires, insulating tubes, installation pipes and installation ducts. The VDE identification thread is used exclusively for cables and wires and is either required by the respective regulations or is provided aditionally to an inscription of the VDE cable marking.
VDE Marking Approval
Cables and wires according to national and international standards are tested and certified by the VDE. This is documented by the VDE marking approval (VDE badge). In addition, the cables are marked with the VDE cable marking or the VDE cable identification thread.
VDE register number, VDE certificate with production monitoring
The certification includes the allocation of a VDE register number for the expert report with production monitoring of electrotechnical products; it applies to cables and wires if a fully applicable VDE standard does not exist for the product, e.g. in the case of customer specifications.
The expert report with production monitoring includes regular repeated testings of the products as well as a monitoring of the production facility by the VDE.

Bayka has been taking the environmental compatibility of its cables and wires into account for years; we have committed ourselves to implementing the requirements and guidelines in an integrated way.
CE MARKING
The CE marking documents that our cables and wires comply with the requirements for safe products, such as the European Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
This directive applies to cables and wires up to 1000 V alternating current or 1500 V direct current; which means that cables for higher voltages may not bear the CE marking if the directive is interpreted precisely. Bayka acts in accordance with these specifications and marks all cables and wires in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive.
DB – SUPPLIER EVALUATION (DB = Deutsche Bahn, engl.: German Railways)
Bayka was awarded the title “outstanding“ amid a 2019 supplier assessment in the area of procurement infrastructure.
